Lost

It was so dark. So cold. He didn't know where he was. He didn't know how to get back to his friends. He'd run out of torches, there was nearly no light now, all that was left was coming from his bright glowing blue eyes, and the magic swirling round his horn and the hilt of his sword. He was so scared. But he had to keep moving. He had to find a way out. He couldn't just give up. He was a hero to so many, giving up wasn't an option. But he wasn't alone down here. There was something following him. There was something in the shadows. Hiding. Tiny foot-steps coming from the darkness.. Moving towards him..
"H-Honeydew.. Is that you, friend?"

And here we have Xephos lost in a dark cavern. Probably not somewhere he'd really want to be for very long.
Little mini-story to go with it because I thought it could work.

This was quite nice to draw, well, Xephos was. The background took longer than it should have. Originally I was going to do a sort of Minecrafty blocky background, but that really didn't work. So I just did an ordinary cave background instead.

I did the glow on his eyes and his magic aura differently to how I've done similar effects in the past. More as an experiment than anything. But I really really like how they came out. I used a similar effect for his horn to the one I used for the base whites on Ridge's horn in this. And I think the effect works quite nicely for an ordinary magic aura when it's toned down. I might use it from now one.

I have some more sketches of this guy (and Will) which will be uploaded with headcannon stuff for the both of them about their species (since they're both aliens from the same planet). So look out for that, it will appear fairly soon (hopefully >< )
